I love making homemade “McDonald’s” for my kids. Somehow, they like it almost as much as the real thing. To make the burgers, you need exactly 1/8 of a pound of ground beef. I buy a pound of organic ground beef, which I cut in half. Then I cut each half in quarters. Next I […]
Lauren - Thanks for the recipe – my kids will love these.

nyclizzie - I’ve never made homemade baked fries. I’m totally going to try this!
Thanks for your kind words on my blog. It truly was a great experience and I think you should write about it too! For some reason, I can’t upload any of my pictures to blogger from that day. It’s such a weird phenom so my words will have to do for now. I wonder if we’re going to get that picture from them? Do they know how to get in touch with you?
spa - home made increases the value of the recipe and love.

Lynna Kay - Hey there. I tried the fries recipe tonight and they were delicious but I had one issue…they stuck to the pan and then tore up when I tried to use the spatula to lift them up. Is there a trick? We loved the flavor of them though!! Tried the chicken nuggest as well – DELICIOUS!
gfcfmom - Hi Lynna Kay…Yes, THERE IS TRICK to getting them not to stick to the pan–which I discovered after I posted the recipe.HEAT THE PANS UP IN THE OVEN BEFORE you put the potato sticks on them. I found this prevents them from sticking. let me know if it works.
Anonymous - I just came across this blog while looking up how to make home-made McDonald's. My kids will only eat their burgers, and clearly, I'd like them to eat something healthier! I'm shocked at the amount of salt in the recipe. Regardless, I tried it tonight anyhow, and each batch was more salty than the last b/c of salt build-up in the pan. Any advice?
