Every year the kids get bigger and things get a little easier. This year they actually waited until after breakfast to open up their presents–which is huge progress from last year when wrapping paper was flying all over before I even opened my eyes. I love holidays and presents and traditions.
We finally had time to get a tree on Christmas eve at 9 pm but the guy selling trees had packed up for the season. I am so used to being able to get this or that at any time of day or night it never occurred to me that I wouldn’t be able to find a last minute tree in NYC. We finally found a small rosemary tree and dug up a silver tree from the basement and lots of lights. I didn’t even have time to take any pictures this year! The only picture I took was of the kids going to the movies on Christmas eve–so, here is a holiday picture of last year’s tree.
I hope everyone has a joyous and happy holiday. This year I was busy and didn’t get a chance to post a list of top gifts but here are some of my favorites.
