This is a spicy chai syrup you can mix with milk, rice or almond milk over ice for a refreshing treat. Or for a hot beverage, mix into steaming milk, rice milk or almond milk. I adapted a recipe from RAW The UNcook Book for this.
2 cups agave
3 Tablespoons cocoa or raw carob powder
1.5 Tablespoons cinnamon
1/3 cup minced ginger
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Puree in vita-mix or blender until smooth. Use 3 Tablespoons of syrup with a cup of Westsoy rice milk for a creamy, spicy coffee and tea alternative.
