“If I were a science teacher, this would be my first assignment.”
“Why don’t people just MAKE squishy balls like this?”
“It’s not just homemade–it’s HANDMAID!” was the slogan my daughter and friend came up with to sell their new playdough.
On Thursday, my daughter was off from school and had a friend sleep over. Probably because there is no TV during the week, they woke up and announced they wanted to make playdough. She had made some in her science class when they made a volcano. After digging around on the computer to find a recipe, this is the recipe we found.
6 cups flour*
2 cups salt
4 Tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups water
*We used 6 cups gluten free flour (we like tapioca flour) plus 2 t. xanthum gum.
-Mix all ingredients together by hand. Add more flour or water as needed until it forms a ball. Knead until soft. Enjoy. We even used some of the “playdough” to make squishy balls by wrapping golf ball sized dough pieces in plastic wrap and tieing them with ribbons.
