Quote of the Week: Geri Brewster

“Beware of cottonseed oil because we don’t eat cotton. The seeds are a byproduct of an industry that has a surplus of seeds and it is one of the most pro-inflammatory oils.”

WHAT NOT TO FEED YOUR KIDS: Below are some mainstream products which contain cottonseed oil and should be avoided. Because cottonseeds are a by-product of the cotton industry they may contain harmful pesticides and herbicides used in cotton production. In addition, the oil contains a serious toxin called gossypol. The toxin is removed in the production process. But, until it is removed the oil is so toxic that it is often used as a pesticide.

Honey Maid Grahams Honey contains partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil.
