This is my new favorite product: Purely Decadent Coconut Milk Ice Cream. It is gluten free, dairy free, soy free and sugar free. There are only about five ingredients in the vanilla flavor and it is delicious, creamy and satisfying. I love that it is sweetened with agave and it flies out of Food Liberation, […]

  • Tamara - This ice cream is amazing!! Love, love, love coconut milk ice cream. Nothing else even comes close to tasting like real ice cream. I’m splurging on an ice cream maker soon so I can try to make my own….that little tiny container just wasn’t enough!ReplyCancel

  • Cathy - This stuff is unbelievably good. Whenever our Whole Foods has it on sale, I have to get a container. I always think I will just eat a tiny bit, but it doesn’t happen. Love it! CathyReplyCancel

  • Ali (Whole Life Nutrition) - Have you tried Coconut Bliss “ice cream”? It is made with coconut milk and sweetened with agave. Very tasty! We also make our own with a vita-mix and ice cream maker. When my daughter was younger and still healing from gluten damage, my husband would make this “ice cream” and put probiotics, Vit. D, and glutamine in it for her. Sometimes he pours it into popsicle molds for her also. Now she eats probiotics right off the spoon!

    Great blog! -Ali :)ReplyCancel

  • Kim - This sounds super yummy — does anyone know what the “natural flavor” is listed on the ingredients — Henry is allergic/sensitive to so much! I have emailed Turtle Mountain but thought maybe someone else would know (thinking if it is safe for us I would love to get my hands on some ASAP!)ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - Did you ever get an answer regarding the "natural flavor"? I've emailed the company as well. Wondering if they will actually answer.

For a while she was never sick and now she has been sick this entire month. The alternative practitioners we have been seeing warned me that she […]

  • Tamara - We have been battling the sickies here too, mainly strep. It is the one bug that I can’t keep away in the winter. And then my oldest was in the hospital for possible psoriatic arthritis. You are so right, when it rains it pours. I too have had ro realize that no matter how well I feed and supplement the kids, they’ll still get sick, lol.

Here’s to better health soon for both of our families!ReplyCancel

  • Our Family Is His - We have been battling the sicks as well. Oh my, we have all been sick so much, and this is just blowing my mind. We never got sick like this. It got so bad, my 3 1/2 year old just spent 3 days in the hospital due to severe dehydration. He got out Sunday, he woke up today with a disgusting nose!ReplyCancel

I don’t know where I found this gluten free chestnut flour. It sat in my cupboard for months and recently I decided to try it when my son became intolerant of rice, corn and potatoes. It has a delicious , creamy flavor and  is my new favorite gluten free flour. Everyone thought the pancakes, crepes […]

Thanks to Cathy who made a comment about broth with a link to Weston Price article Broth is Beautiful which describes some to the health benefits of chicken broth: “Science validates what our grandmothers knew. Rich homemade chicken broths help cure colds. Stock contains minerals in a form the body can absorb easily—not just calcium […]
