My daughter had her last day of school today. I hate endings. One of the reasons I love this blog is that it can go on and on. I know every ending is a new beginning, and I am excited for a summer of traveling but I still have a pang of sadness knowing that 2nd grade will never happen again for my now 8 year old. Yesterday, we bought some summer shoes and it was fun–which seems like a miracle–because she detests errands and shopping and usually wants no part of picking out anything to wear. I really treasure the little things that used to be difficult and now are do able. To celebrate school being over, we went out to Peter’s diner with a gluten free friend, which is tradition I decided to start this year. It is a real treat to be ending the year with everyone healthy and happy. (I am knocking on wood–my “never a dull moment” life has a way of finding me when I announce to the world that everyone is doing great.)
Happy Summer everyone!
