NutriStart Multivitamin Powder

Here is the vitamin that I used for my son when he was 18 months old. It is a mainstream multivitamin with minerals that I stumbled upon at Whole Foods. Nutristart Multivitamin Powder is a product I have stuck with because it contains a very complete and balanced formula. It is a powder flavored with apple and banana and you can mix it in with a drink, applesauce or ice cream. There are other products that are made for kids who have specific issues, but because of our many sensitivities we never found one that worked for us. I highly recommend this and fish oil to parents who want some insurance that there kids are getting necessary nutrients. I can’t guarantee that it is the answer for everyone and just because you are giving a child a vitamin doesn’t mean that they are absorbing it, but Nutristart worked for us. Feel free to comment on your favorite multi vitamin.

  • Anonymous - Pioneer Nutritional Formulas has a very good line, including a terrific children’s chewable multi. The entire line is lab verified gluten-free, and highly recommended for celiacs due to their effectiveness. :)ReplyCancel

  • Sarah - We also use Nutristart – it seems to have much more than regular gummie vitamins (even those that are GFCFSF) and is easy to mix in either juice or applesauce.ReplyCancel

  • Jennifer - I use all New Chapter products for my children over 4 yrs of age. Just order the tiny tabs multi and C vitamins. These are great because they are whole foods, easy to swallow, organic, and include probiotics in them. Also, they are color, sugar, and preservative free. For my children 4 and under I use Nature's Plus C Vitamins which does contain sugar, but they have just created a sugar free version with zylitol (which helps prevent cavities and helps your body get rid of infections quicker). Also, I use a liquid multi-vitamin by Nature's Plus named: Baby Plex and it is sugar free and easy to administer.ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - We use vitamins from Kirk an labs, adult and children. My kids are allergic to the flavorings in these other vitamins. We just opened the capsules into applesauce when they were too little to swallow the capsules.ReplyCancel
